ADAVB offers members a number of ways to obtain their CPD. Our extensive lecture program is complemented by the introduction of a small number of hands-on workshops. The Clinical Update Questionnaire provides members with up to 11 hours of CPD a year at no cost if you take up the on-line option. The Infection Control Systematic Operating Procedures handbook contains up to 7 hours of Infection Control CPD via questionnaires. ADAVB Groups events not only provide many hours of CPD throughout the year, they also provide an opportunity to network with your peers. Seminar recordings assist those members that find it difficult to attend events.
Our partner, the Melbourne Dental School (MDS) at The University of Melbourne, continues to offer comprehensive hands-on workshops in addition to small lecture based programs. Through this collaborative partnership, the members benefit. Take the time to look through the annual program booklet and you will find that this year’s courses are innovative and informative. In 2012, the ADAVB and MDS is offering two exciting joint-programs.
Our CPD program is overseen by the Continuing Professional Development Committee (CPDC), currently chaired by Dr Lester Mark. The CPDC is a joint committee with representatives of both the ADAVB and The University of Melbourne. The Committee works closely with the CPD staff to ensure that ADAVB offers you a diverse and rewarding CPD program.
Members are urged to make themselves familiar with details of the DBA’s CPD policy.
